Las Vegas Architecture is an amazing story of Las Vegas’s special adaptation to lure tourists into its velvet trap. It is a special form of natural selection. Small Mojave Desert railroad town seduces visitors with Neon and gaming and entertainment, like a Bower Bird seducing his mate.

The singular value of Las Vegas Architecture is its proclivity for change and metamorphosis. The early 1990’s ushered in a new era of destroying the old. And, as usual, no one was really recording the history of what came before. The idea that Las Vegas has no history is a mistaken assumption. It is just that Las Vegas history is destroyed to make way for what ever will attract the most visitors. I seek to document and make comments about Las Vegas and it’s special place in the history of architecture.
