Jackpot Modern

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District’s permanent art collection is a source of immense pride for the community. Established in 1974, the collection has grown to over 400 works of art and is now one of the most comprehensive collections of local art held by a public agency in Southern Nevada.

To celebrate the collection, the District has put together a touring art exhibition featuring selections from the 30 pieces that have been on display at the Windmill Service Center since 2011. This unique exhibition gives the public a chance to experience artwork that has rarely been seen before, and it travels to each of the LVCCLD’s galleries.

The tour includes a variety of mediums, such as painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, and digital art. Stanford’s Jackpot Modern from the Shimmering Zen series is one of many artworks that represents the creative spirit of the Las Vegas art’s community.
